    So you are here for a few tips on nutrition for your thyroid and hormones. You toss in your thyroid setbacks. It gets complicated, right? Not really. It just takes a little tweaking and a lot of testing things out.

    With nutrition it is simple. What isn’t working for you when you consume a meal? What is giving you inflammation, low energy, and days filled with stomach issues and bloating? Do you want to feel this way all the time? No way! It is time to change that crappy feeling and NOW. How do we tackle this big one?

    Our Gut Health is the most important thing connected to us, and it works directly with our brain. The Gut IS our second brain. Then throw in your thyroid deficiency, autoimmune disease, or hormone imbalance, and where are you then? Whoa! It is hard to handle the symptoms, and the nutrition side of things, and know what to do.

    The answer? The Elimination Diet. I will spill all my secrets for this beautiful journey, and where to start! This is getting juicy!

    Let’s face it, your nutrition needs to be on point when you suffer or go through a thyroid deficiency. Pretty much every day. If you want any change in your life to stick, and for you to feel like YOU again, you have to discipline yourself and try something that works, and that will balance your hormones.

    After that, taking consistent daily action is key. How do you get there in the beginning? What do you need? You need to solve the problem. Am I right? The problem is you are not yourself, and whatever you are consuming, is consuming YOU. That has to go, Girlfriend.

    Absolute ZERO energy is the main issue and symptom. Brain fog, rapid weight gain, leaky gut, anxiety, and major stomach problems with digesting food which include immediate bloating, IBS, acid reflux, food allergies, food intolerances, and major backlash with Gluten.

    When I started having issues with what I was consuming, I had to find the answers, and quick, because I was absolutely miserable. I tested many things with my specific thyroid setbacks and food allergies, and I have 4 Badass Tips to get you back on Track!

    Tip #1

    Remove the Crap.  

     

    Removing the Bad. What doesn’t work for you? What grabs a hold of you at every meal and you can feel it immediately through your digestion? Those are inflammatory foods. They cause bloating, and your gut and stomach are telling you to stop.

    Remove it. Take a true Deep Dive into this one. These things have to go. Enter The Elimination Diet. Removing all processed foods, and any food causing inflammation. This is especially for my thyroid and hormone imbalance sufferers. This is just a beginning list to start with. Some things on this list including removing dairy, soy, gluten, grains, corn, refined sugar and sugar substitutes, acidic foods, legumes, highly processed oils, nuts, and anything else that you know might affect you immediately after consuming.

    You KNOW what is causing it.  Look for the Triggers. You know your own Body better than anyone! Overwhelming, isn’t it? It is a huge list. But, do not worry my girl, because that is what I am here for! I can, and will walk you through everything with this protocol, and exactly where to start.

    Realistically, it can take 4 weeks to heal your gut and gut biome. 7-8 weeks is IDEAL for life long results you can keep implementing every single day. The Badass Part? Are you ready for this? The Awesome sauce is there are a million alternatives that are offered on everything you are eating now. You just need to flip the switch, try different things that will energize your body, and keep you at your optimal levels of Awesome! It IS Possible!

    A Few Alternative Swaps I Love~

    Mayo – Avocado | French Fries – Sweet Potato Fries | Pasta – Zoodles or Spaghetti Squash | Sour Cream – Greek Yogurt | Mashed Potatoes – Mashed Cauliflower | Flour Tortillas – Coconut GF DF Tortillas | White Rice – Quinoa | White Bread – Gluten Free Bread | Whole Cow’s Milk – Coconut Milk or Flax Milk | Sugar – Stevia or Sweet Drops | Table Salt – Himalayan Pink Sea Salt

    OMG! Yes! You can do this. You will never have to worry you are being deprived of anything. There is always a way! My favorite is Pizza. My swaps are using Simple Mills Pizza Dough (GF of course) to make the crust, use a non-GMO organic pizza sauce with low sugar, and top that lovely with veggies galore! Cilantro(a MUST!!), red peppers, avocados, mushrooms, olives, Jalapenos, red onion, roasted zucchini, spinach and any other yummy veggies I can think of! It is sooo good!

    Tip #2

    Retrain.

     

    You have to restore the good part. Add the key nutrients and the GOOD Bacteria back into your gut, and your lifestyle. How do you do this? By taking amazing probiotics, and retraining your body with the right whole foods and goodness.

    Probiotics are fabulous for restoration and the healing of your gut PH with good bacteria and to give your intestines more strength TO heal. Make sure you are finding a quality probiotic, or you are just wasting your time. There are many products out there, and most are terrible and do not work at all.

    Do the research on what you need for your body, and how much support you want. I take a 3-year fermented probiotic and really love it. It is called Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotic.     Your digestion will improve quickly adding in fermented foods as well. The probiotics to eat are just as important! Fermented foods are my Jam, and here are a few that will be fabulous for you to add in. Sauerkraut, Kimchi(I love it spicy Korean style), Kefir, Kombucha and Fermented vegetables. Beets are amazing, and of course the super beneficial Bone Broth.

    Why do we need this much support for the friendly bacteria? That seems weird, right? Well, it actually isn’t. It helps the body’s natural detoxification process, gives you a healthy immune system, maintains cholesterol levels, accelerates digestion and nutrient absorption, and puts YOU in a fabulous mood! Win-Win!

    You can get many of the probiotic products online, or at local grocery stores that carry the specific products. Sprouts has many options in the probiotic and supplement department, along with Whole Foods and others.

    Tip #3

    Repair.

     

    Let’s talk digestion. It is so important when you are beginning an Elimination Diet, to go easy. Don’t overdo it. Supporting your digestion in the best way possible is key, and giving yourself self-care and not stressing out your body. Remember stress is horrible for healing and can cause major inflammation!

    L-Glutamine and L-Glutamine Powder and ACV These are all perfect for digestive issues and repair, and I use them daily. L-Glutamine is my favorite, and it is a powerful amino acid that really helps repair and rebuilds the gut from inside.

    I use the powder in smoothies and take the capsules as well with meals. ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) works like magic for me when I am having acid issues or with digestion. A shot a day in the am is great, or in your morning H20. If you have more specific stomach acid issues, see my website and check out the recommendations here for extra support on repairing the gut.

    It is under the supplement section about halfway down the page. I would start with ACV. My recommendations are also in the supplements section inside my NEW AMAZON STORE HERE!

    Like I mentioned above, Bone Broth is another absolute MUST for gut health and repair. Making your own at home is the best thing to do, or get the bone broth powder packs to supplement with to get the nutrients. I use the bone broth mentioned above sometimes (LonoLife) and all my favorites are in my Amazon store. If you are making it yourself, you absolutely have to go with 100% grass-fed grass-finished beef. You need the RIGHT nutritional and digestive benefits. There are vegan options as well.

    Vitamin D is needed daily for your thyroid and hormones, and the perfect lovely sunshine outside is the first place to go! Go for a walk or sit outside in the morning for 30 minutes.

    It is the best medicine you could ask for! Start with the natural sunshine first before supplementing if you do not have access to get outside on a daily basis. Most people are very deficient in Vitamin D, so definitely get checked out with your doctor and get tested first before you supplement. I had to go with a high level of IUs (10,000) so get checked first.

    Sleep!! Rest, Rest, and more Rest. Digestive Rest is the most important of course. We don’t want to eat tons of food at all hours of the day, so keep a window for yourself on when you are eating meals and go easy on yourself.

    Note: I do not recommend intermittent fasting when you are trying to heal your thyroid or hormones. If you have questions on this, please shoot me an email or message.

    Healing your Gut is the main objective. Also, getting adequate sleep every night (about 8-9 hours is ideal) is imperative for your Brain, Thyroid, and Hormones. Who doesn’t love to sleep? It is hands down my favorite thang to do besides eating healthy tacos and having a Netflix Binge! haha! You need it to repair your muscles, your gut, and your brain daily. Put your phone away, and go to bed early!


    Tip #4

    Reset.

     

    It is time to do a Mind Hack. It is all about rewriting your story, creating a Badass plan for yourself, and staying Super High Vibe every single day!! You CAN do this and keep your mindset in Tippy Top shape at all times. Check out my Latest Blog on Growth Mindset Here!  

    Setting and sticking to a NEW DECISION is not as hard as it seems. Try it for 1 day. You can do 1 day. Then, if it works for you, add another day. And another. It is a schedule that works for you! YOU ONLY. Not a billion others trying to do a diet. It never works. It is something you have to decide. Check out my Blog above and read that first. It works.

    When you start moving your body more you FEEL the amazing energy coming through, right?⁣

    When you take a walk.⁣
    When you lift weights.⁣

    When you do jump squats.⁣
    When you have a badass yoga sesh.⁣

    When you do a 4 minute TABATA with weights.⁣

    High vibe energy all day is what we are going for here, right? Increase and boost your dopamine & join this endorphin party every day! How? Just start with 1 thing and build on it.⁣

    Easier said than done when you have a thyroid deficiency. I get it. I lived through it. Hypothyroidism and PCOS. I had zero energy and didn’t know where to start to get it back. Whacked out hormones, brain fog & extreme fatigue with rapid weight gain mixed in. ⁣

    Sound familiar? I had to start SMALL. ⁣

    Just a few minutes a day. I did something. Lifting weights is where I started. Low impact but super effective! I did just a couple sets and called it a day. I felt great the next day. I kept going and added a minute to my workout everyday until I reached a solid 20-30 minute workout. This took time. Coupling exercise with the right nutrition for my body was key. ⁣
    I lost 40+ pounds. Confidence and motivation was boosted and renewed. I felt so good! ⁣

    You can also start writing out positive affirmations and goals you want to meet and set your intentions for the day. This will pump you up and put you in a super high vibrational state. ⁣

    Journal prompts help when you want to work through things to learn or heal including personal development, self-discovery, self-reflection, anxiety issues, thyroid setbacks, family issues, health setbacks, spiritual alignment, chakra balance..it is endless and it rocks my world! ⁣

    Hey girl!! Are you having a fantastic Saturday filled with energy, excitement and happiness?⁣

    Let’s face the facts right now- you FEEL amazing when your energy levels are UP🔥 Am I correct?? 👉🏻⚡️⚡️⚡️⁣

    🔥Hot Tips to try NOW🔥 you know them already!!⁣
    1. Drink a F Ton of water. I will yell at you about this all.the.time.⁣
    Flipping Hydrate💦💧🍋⁣
    You are dehydrated RIGHT NOW as you read this. You need to replenish fluids lost!!⁣

    Here’s the scoop👉🏻Yesterday you were at half. ⁣
    You got up today and try to catch up. ⁣
    You work out or do a ton and decide to drink other stuff like coke, orange soda or alcohol instead of water. ⁣
    You wake up the following day and your intake is at 1/4. ⁣
    It is impossible to get to a full tank again.⁣

    Drink a liter & a 1/2 of straight up h20 by itself or with a shot of ACV. Every AM before anything else. Tea. Coffee. Your go-to drinks in the am right?? ⁣
    Those two things are so dehydrating you put yourself in the hole FURTHER!! ⁣
    DUDE!! LISTEN to ME!!!! 💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦⁣
    Drink up buttercup!! 🌼🌻☀️⁣

    2. Move it or freaking lose it. ⚡️⚡️⚡️🏃🏼‍♀️⁣
    You need to be moving all.day.long. You CAN do this. Doesn’t matter what you do during the day. You can fit it in. You can certainly get up to go to the bathroom or to get a snack, right?⁣
    Then you can KEEP it going after that. ⁣
    Go for a walk. Wash your car. Garden. Pressure wash your house. Mow the grass(my all time absolute favorite hahaha!). Clean stuff around house. Play with your fur children. Have play dates with your kids. It is endless. ⁣

    You should only be sItting 4 hrs a day max. ⁣
    Do mini-workouts all day. I do! Lift a few weights, walk a mile or two outside every morning, elliptical training, MMA(mixed martial arts/boxing moves), cycling, yoga, pilates, body weight HIIT/TABATA, barre, running, swimming etc. it all works!! ⁣

    Transformations aren’t easy. You have to keep going, and don’t you dare look back. ⁣

    It takes a lot of inner work and persistence. You know when you are ready. It comes from within. A calling. Something is screaming at you to heal. And I finally listened. ⁣

    It is very tricky with a hormone or thyroid deficiency, so best advice I have there is to see your doctor or functional holistic medical professional 1st when you know something is off.⁣

    Hypothyroidism and PCOS were mine. I finally had enough. Brain fog, headaches, weight gain, depression, extreme fatigue, zero motivation and no drive. I was pushed over the edge hanging by a thread. I just decided one day. Fuck this! I’m out. So I just started.⁣

    After figuring out my meds didn’t work anymore, I started with more sleep, more hydration and the correct fitness. Healthy eating choices followed right behind it. Reducing toxins in my home and on my skin was also huge!⁣

    This is just what I did, and in my experience it was the perfect mix. It might be completely different for you. Start with one thing & do what works for you. You will know. Keep being persistent and testing things out.⁣

    I am in such a different place since 2015. That is the year I decided to take my health back. I had enough. I was done.⁣
