    You are here to get quick tips for adrenal fatigue relief and get some answers. I got you. Do you really have it? What is Adrenal Fatigue? Put simply, Adrenal Fatigue is simply overworking your adrenal glands causing extreme fatigue, brain fog, and making it super difficult to make it through a day without trying to find a quick fix.

    We all have SUPER Fast-paced Lifestyles and run on empty most days with this problem, (or we are riding on that steam train). You know which one I mean.

    Where do we usually get “the quick fix”, and super fast energy to help it along? Not in the right places. Extreme Caffeine, Monster Drinks, Red Bulls, Coke Zeros, and stuff loaded with Sugar. Am I right? All of those things destroy your Adrenals.

    Your Adrenals consist of cone-shaped glands that sit on your kidneys, and they release several different hormones that can influence every single function of your body.

    Your energy levels can be affected, your libido, your mental clarity, your digestion, and most of all, your STRESS Levels. When you are super stressed, you release hormones called Cortisol and Adrenaline, and this can increase everything including your blood pressure and heart rate. It will go up and down with the stress response levels, maintain for a bit, and start again. You will eventually burn out. Sound Familiar? I share some important warning signs or symptoms and causes of Adrenal Fatigue below.

    Warning Signs or Symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue

    Some warning signs and symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue are waking up at night, not being able to fall asleep, constantly tired or have extreme fatigue, extreme anxiety, being stressed out to the max, Brain Fog, thirsty and frequent urinating, having new allergy symptoms you never had before, joint pain, mild depression, low libido, digestive issues, low blood sugar, dizziness or fainting, and headaches.

    Most are common, right? The best way to find out is to get tested. Best Direction to go in? See what Testing is the best, and why below.

    Causes of Adrenal Fatigue

    Causes of Adrenal Fatigue include super high levels of stress, exposure to pollution and environmental toxins, lack of exercise OR over-exercising, poor diet, and Lack of Sleep. These can ALL be AVOIDED.

    We all need to ditch this bulls* NOW. Especially Stress. Stress CAN end your Life. We have too many kick ass things to do out there in this Beautiful World, so this isn’t an option my Sweet Friends. THE Best TESTING advice I can give you is to get SALIVA TESTING.  Do this right away!

    Saliva testing measures the levels of the adrenal hormone cortisol. I go to a wonderful place about an hour away, and they offer the saliva test kit to take home with you, so you can complete it in the comfort of your own home. I will be doing another FB Live! on this subject, as I will be going back for an appointment in a few weeks, and I will go through the full Saliva Testing Kit step-by-step and show you exactly what to do, and what it tests on your Adrenals so you know exactly what is going on.

    Saliva testing is much better than testing your blood. Saliva will show so many beneficial things that blood testing won’t, including testing the cortisol levels and fatigue 4 times, so you can truly see what times of day you might be low on energy.

    Sample testing times for cortisol levels are four times in a 24-hour period. They are 1/2 hour after waking, noon, evening (4-5pm) and bedtime. I would check with your doctor for sure on getting a saliva test kit, but you can also check out a few online or this Saliva Test Kit on Amazon It is a MUST to get this testing done.

    In this blog post, we discuss some quick tips to relief for Adrenal Fatigue, so you can take a quick peek, and see if this falls into what you are currently feeling, or going through. I got you, Girl. Let’s address this, and find the solution.


    Tip 1

    SLEEP.

    I will always talk about this. Every single time. I have my own issues on sleeping. I LOVE to Sleep. It is my BFF. For Optimal Brain and Gut Health, and to get your Adrenals working properly, you need 8-9 hours a night. Period. The End. hahaha… No, but really. You know the feeling when you are really TRULY rested. You feel energized, your brain and million downloads are on point, and you are unstoppable. so, how do you fit it in? I am a super hype morning person, and I get up the same time every day, even on the weekends. 5am. I try to get in the bed with no iPhone, by 10pm. Some days this does not happen, so my other bestie comes by to take me away for 15-20 minutes. NAP TIME. Naps are the way to get yourself back on track when you have limited time some days. But optimal health requires 8-9 hours a night. Make it happen. Quick Tips: Do a meditation sequence before bed(trust me that makes me fall asleep FAST lol), or journal it out and write out your day on what you accomplished, your goals achieved, and 10 things you were Grateful for today. Then you can plan out the next day and have it all organized, and when you wake the next morning you are UNSTOPPABLE!

    Tip 2

    EAT CLEAN

    Not too hard, right? Don’t go get fast food, cook your own food, and be fully aware and present of what you are putting in your body. That’s it. I am traveling this week for a full week, so I am thinking ahead and packing my Shakesmy Greens, hydration, bars, and supplements. Thinking ahead on your nutrition is key, especially when traveling. Eat whole foods, TONS of H2o, lots of vegetables, fruits, leafy greens, microgreens (omg I am OBSESSED WITH THESE), and look for gluten free, dairy free, soy free and nut free foods if you have issues with any of these.

    When you are struggling with a thyroid deficiency, you will have some kind of setback with at least one of these things. Check out my other Blog Posts for more information on what to eat and fuel your body with. Starting with whole food goodness is the best for you, so when you shop, here is a quick tip: Stay in the produce section. I start each day with lemon water first, then my green juice either juicing it(Celery Juice is the main one for me) or with green juice powder.

    Poor nutrition can lead to reduced vitamin and mineral absorption and inadequate levels circulating in the blood and preventing your adrenals from working properly. Avoid the crap. Alcohol, caffeine and fast food to start. Salads are great, and if you eat meat(go with grass-fed and grass-finished ONLY), sea veggies, fresh seafood and fish, hummus, and LOTS of Water. Fuel your Body. It is a machine. YOURS. Why wouldn’t you want to treat your body right? This is the only body you have. You want optimal levels of awesomeness every single day? Fuel it properly, and you always win. 😉

    Tip 3

    TAKE ADAPTOGENS HERBS

    I absolutely love taking adaptogen herbs. These are so beneficial for your Thyroid and Adrenal health, and they have helped me tremendously. Adaptogens are herb and plant extracts that help the body “adapt” to stress. Adaptogens help everything say in balance Here are a few to try and that I personally recommend.     Ashwagandha

    Ashwagandha should be added to the top lists that I have for Thyroid and overall health. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen herb which helps the body adapt under stress. It is extremely beneficial for your thyroid health and to balance hormones. It is also correlated with increasing white blood cells within the body boosting your immune system and giving you Energy!

    Holy Basil

    Tulsi Holy Basil is a badass adaptogen herb and has amazing benefits which include helping stress, maintaining blood sugar levels, boosting your memory, helping with kidney function, helps reduce uric acid levels, balances metabolism, balances energy levels, aid in digestion(great for thyroid), and uplifts your mood.

    Maca Root Powder

    Maca Root Powder is da bomb dot com and helps stress, boosts energy, helps PMS, supports the digestive systems, reduces adrenal stress(of course!), improves bone mass, increases glucose tolerance, improves cholesterol levels, and improves the overall immune system.

    Licorice Root

    Chinese Licorice Root has been used for 1000’s of years. It is awesome for everything! A few include helping adrenal fatigue, mood swings, your immune system, leaky gut symptoms, heartburn or indigestion, sore throats, great for hair growth and health, helps brighten your skin, helps PMS/Menopause, and used for overall pain relief.     Tip 4

    CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE

    Changing your current way of living when you know you need this change is easy! You feel better immediately and want to keep feeling this way. Just a few tweaks and tips and you are on your way.

    1. Sleep. Nap or Rest when you are tired. You know this one. Just get the shut-eye, ok? 8-9 hours will make you feel like a Freaking Superstar! Also, stay on that regular sleep cycle so your Circadian rhythms are not disturbed.
    2. Eat on a regular food cycle as well. Traveling is a big one and a huge challenge for me to stay on track, but packing the essentials as I mentioned before will put you on the right track. It can be hard in the summer months as well with schedules on kids, family vacations, etc. It takes discipline and persistence. Avoid a lot of caffeine and crap food with added sugar that you don’t need! Keep your mind off of it by reading, listening to a Podcast, walking, running, or go to bed early.
    3. Avoid Negativity, negative situations, and negative, toxic people. Drop it, and move on. You don’t have time for it.
    4. Laugh several times a day, and don’t forget to PLAY. Relieve stress, Yell really loud at the top of your lungs, walk your pups, run around the block, go to a movie, hang with your friends and be stupid. Just play, and be a kid.
    5. Exercise. See above. Do something physical and feel amazing!! Run, cycle, jog, dance, walk, lift weights, do yoga, pilates, Tabata, and HIIT. You will feel like $$$ a million bucks, or at least $111!!  (ask me what I mean on those lovely numbers).
    6. Self Care. Do you. With no one else around. Relax. Have a major bestie relationship with yourself. You need to be in Love with yourself. Everything will Flow perfectly for you after you know this, and practice it every day.

    Hey girl!! Are you having a fantastic Saturday filled with energy, excitement and happiness?⁣

    🔥Hot Tips to try NOW🔥 you know them already!!⁣
    1. Drink a F Ton of water. I will yell at you about this all.the.time.⁣
    Flipping Hydrate💦💧🍋⁣
    You are dehydrated RIGHT NOW as you read this. You need to replenish fluids lost!!⁣

    Here’s the scoop👉🏻Yesterday you were at half. ⁣
    You got up today and try to catch up. ⁣
    You work out or do a ton and decide to drink other stuff like coke, orange soda or alcohol instead of water. ⁣
    You wake up the following day and your intake is at 1/4. ⁣
    It is impossible to get to a full tank again.⁣

    Drink a liter & a 1/2 of straight up h20 by itself or with a shot of ACV. Every AM before anything else. Tea. Coffee. Your go-to drinks in the am right?? ⁣
    Those two things are so dehydrating you put yourself in the hole FURTHER!! ⁣
    DUDE!! LISTEN to ME!!!! 💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦💧💦⁣
    Drink up buttercup!! 🌼🌻☀️⁣

    2. Move it or freaking lose it. ⚡️⚡️⚡️🏃🏼‍♀️⁣
    You need to be moving all.day.long. You CAN do this. Doesn’t matter what you do during the day. You can fit it in. You can certainly get up to go to the bathroom or to get a snack, right?⁣
    Then you can KEEP it going after that. ⁣
    Go for a walk. Wash your car. Garden. Pressure wash your house. Mow the grass(my all time absolute favorite hahaha!). Clean stuff around house. Play with your fur children. Have play dates with your kids. It is endless. ⁣

    You should only be sItting 4 hrs a day max. ⁣
    Do mini-workouts all day. I do! Lift a few weights, walk a mile or two outside every morning, elliptical training, MMA(mixed martial arts/boxing moves), cycling, yoga, pilates, body weight HIIT/TABATA, barre, running, swimming etc. it all works!! ⁣

    Transformations aren’t easy. You have to keep going, and don’t you dare look back. ⁣

    It takes a lot of inner work and persistence. You know when you are ready. It comes from within. A calling. Something is screaming at you to heal. And I finally listened. ⁣

    It is very tricky with a hormone or thyroid deficiency, so best advice I have there is to see your doctor or functional holistic medical professional 1st when you know something is off.⁣

    Hypothyroidism and PCOS were mine. I finally had enough. Brain fog, headaches, weight gain, depression, extreme fatigue, zero motivation and no drive. I was pushed over the edge hanging by a thread. I just decided one day. Fuck this! I’m out. So I just started.⁣

    After figuring out my meds didn’t work anymore, I started with more sleep, more hydration and the correct fitness. Healthy eating choices followed right behind it. Reducing toxins in my home and on my skin was also huge!⁣

    This is just what I did, and in my experience it was the perfect mix. It might be completely different for you. Start with one thing & do what works for you. You will know. Keep being persistent and testing things out.⁣

    Both of them directly affect thyroid function. At least for ME they do. Research Gluten and Soy all you want. YOU know your own body and when it is screaming at you. You are the ONLY one that will know. ⁣

    Soy- Fermented Non-GMO Organic Soy products are alright (sometimes) but in moderation. In my opinion, I would avoid ALL Soy. Soy is in absolutely everything. Check all labels or avoid anything processed. Even skincare products can contain soy. ⁣
