Heal your Thyroid Naturally – Tip 1:

Get Tested properly.

Get the right thyroid lab tests done so you can get to the root of the problem #thyroidtesting #thyroid #fulltestpanel #hypothyroidtesting

A full Thyroid panel of tests needs to happen. The #1 thing to do first is to Find a Holistic, Functional, or Alternative practitioner or Doctor. Endocrinologists are amazing as well if you find the right one. I personally have never found one to help me or listen. An awesome listener is Key! Do your homework, and keep looking and making appointments until you get the personal results you deserve!

We are all so different and have specific needs for what is happening to our bodies, hormones, thyroid, and lifestyle. Do not be afraid to fire your doctor and try again. It is difficult to find what you need sometimes, but doctors work for YOU. That is the whole reason they are there. If they are not going the distance for you and testing for EVERYTHING you asked for, it is a NOPE right outta there!

Avoid Stress

We are all busy. I get it. But holding on to extreme stress can straight up ruin your Life. Stress is something you need to avoid at all costs. When autoimmune or thyroid disease comes into play, it is imperative to practice self-care, eat well, and move your body.

Here is a list of things to try and do daily if you feel the stress creeping back up on you.

Meditation

Just 5 minutes of meditation a day is Gold to reduce stress and anxiety. 10-15 minutes you are a straight-up Rockstar! Sit quietly somewhere before you start your day. Close your eyes. and don’t forget to Breathe.

1. Sit and cross your legs or lay down and rest your hands in your lap, on your thighs or by your side if laying down. Do whatever feels good for you. There are no rules on how you practice meditation. 2. Focus on listening to your breath and do a full inhale and then blow it out on a full exhale. Do this 10 times. You can play music or do a guided meditation for help.

 

Next, bring visualization into it and visualize all your upcoming goals and desires that you set with intention daily and manifest them into your reality like they already happened. You can give those thoughts an image if you like. Focus on them along with your breath. Practice Gratitude with this and think about everything you are grateful for in your life. Make it a super positive experience.

Yoga Flow

Practicing Yoga with breathwork is the best thing you can do to lift or eliminate stress. Find a beginning yoga sequence that you love and start your day with movement and breath.

Light incense or candles.

Lighting incense and burning candles with intention are very calming. I do this daily and have it near me when I work, meditate, or practice yoga.

Journal and free writing.

I love to free write and journal as much as possible. I do this first thing in the morning after reading some of my personal development books, and books for my thyroid & hormone balance. You can find most of these wonderful books HERE!

Exercise Properly.

You know what feels great for YOUR Body. We are all so very different and not one thing works for all of us. The most important part of healing with exercise is to gain energy, release weight, and feel like yourself again.

Some exercises and movement that will help in the thyroid healing process include weight training, Tabata, yoga, pilates, and walking.

Focus on low impact, but also being super effective. I started with lifting weights every single day and doing Tabata workouts 3 times a week. They were both incredible for my thyroid healing and my body, and it really saved my life.

Fuel your Body the right way.

Fuel your body and thyroid right #thyroidfoods #healyourthyroid #hypothyroidism If you have been living with thyroid problems or setbacks for a while, or even if you are newly diagnosed, there are many things you need to change with your nutrition to start the healing process.

Eat Whole Foods. This basically means avoiding processed foods or food that isn’t real or genetically modified. Tip: The stuff you buy in a box be careful with too many ingredients you are not sure of. Consume plants, whole vegetables, and fruits. Stay in the produce section.

Eat Sea Vegetables and Seaweed. They can be super beneficial for your thyroid, and some contain iodine which helps thyroid function if you are deficient. Seaweeds are the most nutritious plant foods you can consume. They are rich in protein, minerals, and vitamins. Kelp, Kombu, Arame, Dulse, Wakame, and Nori are some types of seaweeds to try.

Juice.  I love juicing Celery Juice every morning or a variety of different things. Beets, ginger, lemon, green apple, and carrots are amazing to juice and super tasty. Avoid Gluten and Most Soy. Gluten is a Beast. Soy is in EVERYTHING. They both suck for your Thyroid depending on what strain or type you consume. You may not believe me, but I am only speaking about what has worked for me. You will find out when you go back to #1 and get tested properly, or you will find out after consuming something with soy or gluten in it. Inflammation will happen almost immediately, along with digestive issues, gas, and major stomach pain. This is not the case for everyone, so just be cautious and get tested first. It is super important to know what you are putting in your body. When you have a Thyroid Deficiency, Adrenal Fatigue, Gut issues, or hormone imbalances, you need to know what you are allergic to or what isn’t agreeing with your body giving you major inflammation, weight gain or brain fog.

Essential Oils

I started trying essential oils over a year ago with DOTerra and Edens Garden. I love them both. They are amazing and have so many benefits for your health, home, and overall wellness.

Some absolute amazing essential oil blends for your Thyroid include: Use a 10 ML Roller Bottle and combine the following: Add 12 drops Clove, 12 drops Lemongrass, 12 drops Myrrh, 10 drops Frankincense, and 10 drops peppermint. Top with Fractionated Coconut Oil or Grapeseed Oil. You have to play with these and you can use less of each as well. Other essential oils you can add to the mixture above include Rosemary, Marjoram and Basil.
