START YOUR BLOG ON WORDPRESS.ORG
Always Self-Host your Blog if you want to have full control of your blog AND monetize your blog for income. Get on WordPress.org and start your blog there (NOT WordPress dot com if you want full control and full monetization of your blog.
BEST PRACTICE for this is to pick your web hosting service FIRST because most of them will install WordPress.org for you so you do not have to handle the tech since it can be overwhelming.
